Create an Order of Battle list using Easyarmy.com
Creating an army list or order of battle is incredibly helpful not only to you but also your opponent. It contains all of the vital information needed to play the game accurately and is a great way to create a sound list that abides by the rules. It also contains all of the special rules that relate to your list, eliminating the need during gameplay to look up obscure rules and delay the game. The best website (in our humble opinion) to create a list is easyarmy.com. You can buy an entire book of lists for a few dollars and it is incredibly user friendly. Check it out and click here for a sample list created at EasyArmy.
Painting Your Miniatures
There are few things cooler than a nicely arranged terrain board with painted World War II miniatures that re-create history. It immerses the players in another world and draws people to the game. We would love that everyone has a painted army when they play, but we know that is not always realistic and would be unfair for us to make a requirement for our club. There is more to life than painted miniatures and we all can totally appreciate how difficult it can be to get a whole army painted thanks to the chaos of our everyday lives. Players are more than welcome to play with unpainted miniatures. We would ask that players try to make it a goal to at least make some sort of progress with their painting so that the games look nice. Perhaps one week you start with unpainted miniatures. By the next time we play, perhaps make it a goal to have them all primed (which should take about 10-15 minutes.) Then maybe the next goal is simply to have the helmets painted on the infantry (again, about 15 minutes) and so on...little steps to bring your unpainted army to completion. We are not asking for world-class paint jobs and we are not asking to have your army painted to perfection within a certain timeframe. Just try to make progress! Also, we are more than happy to teach how to paint FOW miniature quickly. It is easier than you think!
