Firestorm Campaign: Operation Bagration
We will be playing a Firestorm Campaign for the next few months at the Batavia Battalion! If you are not familiar with what a Firestorm Campaign is, click here to read a good article explaining the game.
For those participating in the campaign, this is generally what we will do on Sunday, August 11th.
We will divide into two sides, Germans & Allies (although this was historically Soviets versus German battle, but we will use "Lend-Lease forces" so U.S. and British forces can be used in the game.)
Each side will have a Supreme Commander and will be responsible for making strategic moves on the game board and assign battles to their players. There will be couple of other responsibilities as well.
When we play out battles, we will use a base force size of 1250, so come prepared with lists of this size. If you are new to the game and would like to play a smaller game, we will create a smaller battle of 600-1000 points. These battles will still impact the campaign in some form!
We will start with a four turn campaign. On Sunday, each side will meet with their Supreme Commander, make strategic moves and then start assigned battles. Keep in mind that not all battles have to be played Sunday. You can arrange to meet your opponent at other times at Draxtar and play out your battle. Just make sure to report the results to either me or your Supreme Commander.
We do ask that all forces fielded have at least a coat of base color on it so that our games look nice!
There will be more details on Sunday as we meet and begin. Again, please bring a couple of lists (one Allied and one German if possible) and we will divide and battle!
